The Counseling Department offers long-term, client-centered counseling services to children, adolescents, and families experiencing behavioral, emotional, or family difficulties. Licensed professional counselors work with individuals and families on an outpatient basis to address issues such as school problems, family conflicts, and depression. A self-sufficiency coach helps enrolled families find solutions to housing, transportation, clothing, and other problems. The Counseling Department provides group and individual counseling at local elementary schools and works in conjunction with area police precincts to provide 24-hour lock-out crisis intervention. The Blue Gargoyle Counseling Department is closely connected to a network of social service resources.
